HANNspree's website isn't nearly as cool as the company's fabulous TVs.
IN A NUTSHELL
HANNspree makes TVs. But not just any TVsreally cool TVs that will change the way you look at these utilitarian objects. Unfortunately, the company's refreshing take doesn't extend to its website. It suffers from inconsistent navigation and functionality, hard-to-read copy, and some of the most egregious use of Flash we've ever seen.
BRAVO
Bright, color-saturated photography reinforces the message that HANNspree products are "bold expressions of your individuality." Pages are centered and all information appears above the fold to facilitate Web readability.
TRY AGAIN
Not only does the omnipresent use of Flash slow load times, it doesn't enhance the products' appeal or demonstrate cool features. In fact, we find it odd that Flash is used everywhere on the site, except to depict the experience of watching TV on these unique sets. Navigation and functionality vary from section to section, causing the visitor to hunt around for the right spot on the page to trigger the desired action. Poorly written text buries key features and obscures the fact that HANNspree has impressive branding agreements with Disney, the NBA, and MLB.
